Newsletter for the month of May and June

My dear visitors,

It is always a pleasure for me to write something out of my test kitchen, and I was wondering what should be the subject for my newsletter.
Summer is around the corner and the barbeque season begins. Germans are not good in cooking on the barbeque, well maybe some of them, but it is not a common way of preparing food. First of all because the weather is not as friendly as it is here and second of all because not all Germans do live in a house with outside facilities. So I cannot offer you a barbeque recipe today, but I will provide you with a delicious fruit sorbet recipe that you will like. To top it all, I will show you a way to get rid of the pounds on your hips (pardon me!), you will be delighted.

Let us start with the ice cream……you think of milk, cream and so on….NO! We call it Sorbet and make it from frozen fruits.

You will need: 8 oz of frozen fruits and some icing sugar
Now put the frozen fruits into your blender, some of the icing sugar on top of it, and off we go. You will see when to stop with the sugar, especially if you want to go on with a diet.

Here it comes:
The Dr. Hay Diet is a diet in which you divide protein and carbohydrates.
In the morning you eat only fruits, whichever and as much as you like (no bananas). At 12’o clock your body household is ready for proteins and you will eat them with a salad! No bread, no flower, only a steak, fish, maybe some chicken. 75% of what you eat will be fresh, like salads, fruits, vegetables. At 6 pm your household is ready for carbohydrates and you can eat something with flower like noodles, bread, but never with meat of sausage! If you like to eat something in between, here is what you do:

Everything needs about 3-4hrs. to digest, proteins and fruits are compatible, that is why you can eat a fruit between the meals, fruits only need 30 min to digest. I can loose easily with this diet, if I only get the drive!
Please remember: at least ½ to 1 gallon of water a day is a must if dieting better more. Let me know how you get along, and if you like to learn more about it look up the internet under Dr. Howard Hay’s Diet. Write me if you need recipes.
